NISADE to Develop 13ha of Land in Kutchan’s Weiss District
Niseko Alpine Developments (NISADE, 191-54 Yamada, Kutchan, President: Taiji Hashizume) is embarking on a large-scale development on 13 ha of land in the Weiss district of Kutchan Town. The plan includes the construction of a 47-room hotel and villas, and the contractor will be decided in the future.
The project has been named Weiss Heights and involves the development of 128,164 m2 of land located at 70-1, Hanazono, 2 km northwest of Niseko Hanazono Resort.
The hotel will be an RC structure with four floors above ground and three below, totaling 17,000 m2. It will have restaurants and spas. In addition to six glamping facilities on the east side of the hotel, townhouses and villas will be built on the west side. Sales methods and other details are under consideration. Most of the villas have a site area of 1,500 m2 or more, and are intended for investors and wealthy individuals in Japan and abroad.
Peter Hahn Associates Limited is responsible for the architectural design.
On the premises, Nihon Harmony Resorts, which operates Niseko Hanazono Resort, plans to install a connecting lift to former ski resort Niseko Weiss in the future.
Hsinyao Hsu, developments director of NISADE, mentions the high potential of the Weiss district, saying, “We hope to see the development of the Weiss district gain momentum with the construction of a connecting lift and the rebuilding of the former Niseko Weiss Hotel.”
