Wealth Management to Develop 15,000 m² Hotel in Kabayama, Kutchan
Real estate investment firm Wealth Management, Inc. (1-12-32 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazutoshi Senno) is planning to build a hotel with a total floor area of 15,369 m² in the Kabayama area of Kutchan Town. The company will select a building contractor and plans to initiate construction in April 2024.
The project will be overseen by a limited liability company established by Richesse Management, a Tokyo-based subsidiary of Wealth Management. Another Tokyo-based subsidiary, World Brands Collection Hotels & Resorts, will operate the hotel.
The hotel will be built 800 meters southeast of Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu Ski Resort, along the prefectural Rankoshi-Niseko-Kutchan route, on Kabayama 37-75 and adjacent areas.
The hotel will be a reinforced concrete structure comprising five floors above ground and one below, with a total of 76 rooms ranging in size from 60 to 200 m². The policy is not to operate it as a condominium-style hotel. It features hot spring facilities and restaurants, which are also accessible to non-staying guests.
Architectural design is entrusted to Nihon Sekkei, which strives to complete building certification and other applications by February 2024.
In 2023, works such as rerouting the river flowing through the site were carried out by Nishimatsu Construction.
The hotel will be operated under the Six Senses brand of the InterContinental Hotels Group. The project is targeted for completion in June 2027.
