NOT A HOTEL Company’s Villa Development above Rusutsu Ski Resort

NOT A HOTEL Inc. (3-11-8 Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shinji Hamauzu), which is engaged in the planning and sales of shared luxury condominium villas, is planning to develop a new villa above a ski slope in Rusutsu Resort in cooperation with Kamori Tourism Co., Ltd. (Kita 4-jo Nish 4-chome 1, Chuo-ku, Sapporo; Representative Director and President: Hisatake Kamori). It is planned to recruit owners in the winter of 2025, and open in 2028.

The concept of NOT A HOTEL is “your home around the world.” Owners invest only in the number of days a year that they will use the property, which can then be rented out as a hotel on other days. This business is also expanding to Ishigaki Island, Kita-Karuizawa, and other locations throughout Japan.

The plan at Rusutsu Resort was prompted by a call from Kamori Tourism. This development is located at the top of West Mountain (715 meters above sea level), one of the resort’s three ski slopes. There is already an amusement park and condominium hotel, The Vale Rusutsu, at the foot of the mountain. It is considered that access to the property will have to be by snowmobile or helicopter, and it is expected to provide 12 investment deeds.

The design and engineering are handled by Snohetta (headquartered in Norway). The contractor will be decided in the future, and the scale and construction schedule have not been disclosed.
